Profile
Abdul Wahid Ovaice is a veteran Creative Director with more than 25 years shaping brand creative, design, and innovation. He is currently a Creative Director at Apple, where he leads digital creative for the iPhone, iPad, and OS product announcements.
Before joining Apple, Abdul Wahid served as Executive Creative Director at Oura Ring, where he led the brand across every touchpoint: digital experiences, packaging, advertising, in-app content, and more. He previously held the role of Global Executive Creative Director at Huge, guiding creative for the global Google account and shaping work defined by strategic clarity, simplicity, and intuitive ideas people obsessed over.
Across his career, Abdul Wahid has led creative for Nest, Square, Google, Meta, Uber, and Basic Agency. His philosophy is simple: demystify complexity and express it poetically until the brand becomes irresistible and its success inevitable.
Abdul Wahid’s work has been recognized by The One Show, Red Dot, Communication Arts, the Webby Awards, Awwwards, and his team earned I.D. Magazine’s Design of the Year award for contributions to Apple’s digital creative. He also holds a U.S. design patent for a display-screen UI interface, a reminder that some ideas are worth protecting in more ways than one.
Alongside his leadership roles and global responsibilities, Abdul Wahid remains an active designer, continuing to explore ideas through a series of personal projects. These works function as inspired experiments: spaces to test instincts, explore new visual directions, and expand the language of his practice. They highlight how sustained practice sharpens perspective over time.
Rather than departures from his professional practice, these explorations are extensions of it: ideas distilled into a concentrated form, sharpened by speed and curiosity. They offer a glimpse into the thinking behind the thinking; though occasionally the thinking has an espresso, mutters to itself, and argues with the black sticky notes.
